SNSD′s Taeyeon Tops Billboard′s World Albums Chart

Taeyeon′s first solo album I is number one on Billboard′s World Albums chart.


I, which was released worldwide via iTunes on October 7, has topped Billboard′s World Albums chart, confirming music fans′ interest in Taeyeon.


Taeyeon is the sixth SM artist to top Billboard′s World Albums chart this year, following Jonghyun′s Base in January, EXO′s Exodus in April, SHINee′s Odd in May, Girls′ Generation (SNSD)′s Lion Heart in August and Red Velvet′s The Red in September, demonstrating SM artists′ global power once again. 

Taeyeon also topped music and album charts in Korea as soon as her first solo album I was released on October 7, as well as Taiwan′s album chart and iTunes charts in 13 countries, making a splash in Korea and abroad.


The album contains a total of six tracks, including lead single I, which Taeyeon helped write the lyrics to, and contributions by composers LDN Noise and Joombas, producers MonoTree and hip hop musician VerbalJint.


Meanwhile, Taeyeon is set to perform I on Mnet′s M COUNTDOWN on October 15 and other music programs.
